1. What we collect

• Teachers: name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash), and optional school/region provided at sign-up. We record the date you accepted this policy.
• Students: the first name or nickname a student types to join a lesson, their answers, and — for speaking tasks — short voice recordings. We ask students not to enter surnames.
• Students who join through Telegram: if a teacher invites a class via our Telegram bot, we also store the student's Telegram first name, Telegram username and numeric Telegram ID, and create a student record so they can be listed on that class roster.
• Usage: basic technical logs needed to run and secure the service.

We do not use cookies for advertising or analytics. We set one cookie to keep a signed-in teacher signed in.

2. How we use it

To provide the lessons, grade activities (including AI grading of writing and pronunciation), show teachers their students' progress, and keep the service secure. We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not track students across other websites.

3. AI processing & who else sees data

Lesson text, submitted answers, and voice recordings may be sent to the following providers purely to generate content or return a grade. They act on our instructions and do not use this data to train their own models under the terms we use:

• Google (Gemini) — lesson generation, writing grading, reading photographed worksheets.
• OpenAI — speech transcription and pronunciation feedback.
• ElevenLabs — text-to-speech audio for listening tasks.
• Telegram — only if a teacher uses Telegram sharing or the class invite bot.

4. Where your data is stored

Our servers and database are hosted in Germany (European Union), and file storage (images and voice recordings) is provided by our cloud storage provider. The AI providers listed above process data in the EU and/or the United States.

We are telling you this plainly because it matters: data about students in Uzbekistan is stored outside Uzbekistan. If your school or institution requires data to remain inside the country, please do not use Bilimlink for identifiable student data until we can offer that option.

5. Children

Bilimlink is used in classrooms and most students are under 18. The teacher and their school are responsible for obtaining any consent required by their institution, by parents, and by local law before students use the service — the teacher confirms this when creating an account.

We deliberately collect as little as possible about students: a first name or nickname, their answers, and (only for speaking tasks) a short recording. Students are asked not to enter surnames. We do not profile students, show them advertising, or monitor their behaviour outside the lesson page.

6. Storage, retention & deletion

We keep data only as long as needed to provide the service. A teacher can delete a lesson or a class at any time from their dashboard; deleting it also deletes the associated student sessions, answers and recordings.

To delete your whole account and everything in it, message us at t.me/bilimlink and we will remove it within 30 days. You can also ask for a copy of your data.

7. Payments

During the pilot, paid plans are arranged directly with us by bank or card transfer. We never see or store your card number — no card details are entered into Bilimlink.
